And, you will find that SenSa Granite offers an array of colors to match any decor or project. SenSa granite is treated with a revolutionary stain protection called SenGuard™, and comes with a 15-year stain warranty. SenSa granite can withstand temperatures up to 572º F. (like all natural stone, SenSa granite is subject to thermal shock) Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications; SenSa is UV-resistant and will not be affected by solar rays. It also is water-resistant, which allows for a cleaner, drier surface that deters the growth of mold and mildew.

SenGuard™?
SenGuard is a technically advanced treatment process that is used to protect SenSa granite from staining. SenGuard will withstand the use of typical household cleaning chemicals. You can clean SenSa granite with products like Windex & 409. (ammonia, alkaline, or acid cleaners will not damage the SenGuard protection) SenGuard is not a sealer and bonds to the granite surface different than sealers. The SenGuard treatment, unlike common sealers, allows the stone to breathe while preserving the stone’s natural, beautiful color for years to come.
How does the SenGuard protection work versus the common stone sealers in the market?
There are many sealers in the market that claim to safeguard granite surfaces but do not offer the same long-lasting protection as SenGuard. SenGuard is a protective agent on a small molecular level that
penetrates the stone’s porous surface entering into the lattice to form a chemical bond while allowing the stone to breathe. SenGuard changes the surface tension of the stone creating resistance to liquids & providing durable, long-lasting stain protection. Unlike common sealers, SenGuard chemically anchors to the stone’s surface creating a permanent bond.

Unsealed granite is prone to stains, scorches, bacterial growth and water spots. Common sealers lie on top of the stone & cover its porosity while not allowing the stone to breathe. Over time, sealer weakens when trapped moisture in the stone is naturally released as the stone expands and contracts under temperature changes. These types of sealers have a weaker bond that is also easily broken down by common household cleaners. Therefore, periodic re-application of the sealer is required to prolong the life of the granite countertop.
