Thank you for making us your selection for your project. We have compiled some information that will assist you in completing your project. Please review the following information.

PREPARATION

Cabinets: Cabinets must be secured to the walls and/or floor and level prior to date countertops are templated. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the cabinets are level and square. Cabinets that will rest on top of the countertop (i.e. appliance garages) should be installed after the installation of the countertop has been completed.

Support: The countertop material and thickness determine the amount of overhang allowed on a countertop with out support. Below is a guide showing which countertop materials can support an overhang without additional brackets or corbels:
  • 6" (Acrylic Countertop)
  • 6" (2cm Stone Countertop)
  • 8" (3cm Stone Countertop)

Keep in mind that it is important that at least 70% of the total countertop be supported by cabinets or knee wall of sorts. All overhangs in larger than the above will require corbels or brackets. Support brackets and corbels must be installed prior to the field template.

Removal of existing countertops and appliances: In cases where a template needs to be made the existing countertops and appliances must be removed prior to template date. This will be a case by case basis and tear out may not always be required.

Sinks, faucets and appliances: ALL appliances and fixtures to be mounted in the countertops MUST be on the job site prior to the date of field template. All cut-out information including sinks, faucets, soap pumps, hot/cold water dispensers, cook tops and/ or slide-ins must be at the job site prior to template date so accurate information can be obtained.

Customer Authorization: The customer or decision-maker over the age of 18 MUST be present at the time of measuring/templating, and be responsible for approving all the details of the countertop.

Incidental Damage: Final wall preparation such as painting and / or wall papering should be completed AFTER installation. Care will be exercised during the countertop installation; however, scrapes, punctures or digs to wall surfaces are possible, as are scratches and scrapes to cabinetry.

These items are considered incidental damage and are the customer's responsibility to repair. In most cases, cabinets can be easily repaired with a cabinet touch-up kit.

Final Pricing: Your initial quote is an estimate of the projected price of your countertop project. The final price will be determined after the template has been completed.

INSTALLATION

Installation: The customer or designated decision-maker over the age of 18 MUST be present during the entire installation process.

Seams: Please note that the placement of all seams required is at the discretion of the fabricator. ALL stone countertops will have visible seams. Acrylic products will have inconspicuous seams not guaranteed to be invisible.

Backsplash Installation: If the job order includes a high-backsplash it is usually a 2-part process on stone surfaces to complete installation. The high-backsplash will be measured after installation of the countertop. The backsplash will actually be installed approximately 1-week later. All upper cabinets and range hood/microwave combinations must be installed prior to measuring for the high-backsplash.

Cancellation/Returns: Your countertops will be custom made and fitted to accommodate the requirements of a particular project. These materials are non-returnable and its purchase price cannot be refunded unless incorrectly ordered by Professional, or unless damaged beyond repair in delivery or by Professional.

Cleanup: Installation of a countertop is a construction process and residual dust should be expected. The job site will be left in broom-clean condition.
